Almost ready for the Scillies!!!
29 April 2008 - 12:24
Well this has been a bit of a year so far, with the risk of not all the boats getting across on time, put a lot of us into a spin. But looks like they are all across now, so i think we are all in for a bit of a treat this year.

The top clubs seem to have put it up another gear , if that was possible, with Falmouth 'A' looking like they are going to mount a real challenge to Caradon, not to mention Roseland, Par (et al )  all bitting at their heels!

As for some of us lesser rowers,

16 April 2008 - 10:39
Hi Guys,
well watching the sun break through the very few clouds on a spring morning over Mounts Bay was wonderful.  I thought then it would be a great day of racing and i wasn't disapointed.

22 Gigs attended the event plus Lady Sue ( Plastic Gig ) i think a great turnout by anyones standards, but considering the scillies up and coming fast with a lot of boats being transported, i think it was wonderful.

Hi All,
Well what a start to the season!

A weekend of racing, starting on Sat at Appledore ( Blog and Pics to come in the next few days) and then the THREE RIVERS at Caradon.

The weather cleared late morning, to let the races have a clear run without rain or too much wind, leaving just one hell of a tide distance to battle with.

The turn out was spectacular with over 34 boats attending and clubs from as far afield as Falmouth and
We had 'FAITH' that Devoran would Launch there new Gig!!
10 March 2008 - 14:22

Well as stated before, here is a little more info about the launch of Devorans new gig 'FAITH'.

In spite of the weather, we had FAITH that Devoran would launch there new Gig! The afternoon started with the blessing at St Petrocs Church in Devoran, & then a slow procession led by a Kernow Kilted lad, though the village & being pushed by various members of the club. It was obviously a hard push, as it was felt appropriate by all! to stop at The Quay Inn for some light
New Gigs Launched
10 March 2008 - 10:46
Hi All,
well the 8th of March saw the launch of two new gigs, 'FAITH'  from

Tamar Tavy 's new gig, was blessed by Nick Lawe ( rector ) at Bere Ferrers. The gig had a long procession through the village led by a Bag Piper from the
